Maison de fleur cottage…..house of flowers……is
nestled in the foothills of Waikanae with views of Kapiti Is, South Is and
its backdrop is native bush. My cottage garden is a beautiful setting for
boutique wedding ceremonies, your wedding photographs or small events, high tea
parties….some photos of wedding held in my garden….and my very
exciting new glass chapel.
I’m Karen, the owner and operator of Simplicity Wedding and
Event Stylists. I am also a wedding and civil union celebrant (see www.loveonlocation.nz).
People and happy, positive occasions are my passion! Along
with my passion for joining two people together in marriage, I love my garden
lifestyle block in Waikanae. It gives me great pleasure to share my ‘special
place’ with others, whether that is a wedding ceremony, charity event, fairy
party or a high tea.
I have lived on the Kapiti Coast for most of my life and have a
strong connection to the community and area. Most Saturday mornings I’ll be on
my pink scooter, looking for something to re-furbish and restore for event hire
or myself, hanging out with my grandkids, or entertaining friends in my garden!
That’s if I don’t have a wedding in my garden or I’m performing a ceremony!
I love keeping busy and although my weekends are full to the
brim, I also have a fantastic part-time job working for a Montessori pre-school
in Waikanae during the week, which I love. I’ve even been a volunteer fire
fighter!
